In response to the article highlighting Heart Gallery in the Sunday, January 2, 2005 issue of Parade magazine, a group of Orange County citizens from all walks of life came together on January 29, 2005 to establish a Heart Gallery Chapter in Orange County, California. This volunteer group is working very closely with Orange County Social Services (OCSSA) and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).

The mission of the Heart Gallery Orange County is  to inspire families of all kinds to become adoptive and foster families through compelling portraits that capture the individual spirit of the children in our count awaiting adoptive homes.

To educate the community about the need for adoption of children and youth in foster care.
To recruit adoptive families for older children, sibling groups, and children with special needs.

To recruit adoptive families parents from throughout Orange County

The Orange County Heart Gallery is dedicated to raising awareness about foster children available for adoption Through the efforts of volunteers from the county, our award winning photographers take portraits that help capture the individuality and spirit of each foster child available eligible to be adopted. These photographers are then shared through gallery exhibits and the web in the hope that potential families will be inspired to inquire about adoption and/or foster care.

The Orange County Heart Gallery Foundation is a project of he United Charitable Programs
